Explosive !

OMG! Shelby hadn’t realized how excited she really was until she walked into Jade’s shop.  Shelby and Jade had gotten to know one another over a few sessions and Shelby was coming in to meet with Jade for a consultation. Shelby picked out a pattern for a tasteful garter that should be placed on her right thigh. The beading would be delicate and a lily would be placed toward the center of her upper thigh.  It would be sensual and only seen when Shelby wanted it to be seen. With the actual tattoo decided, Shelby was finally able to meet with Jade to go over placement.  The lace pattern needed to look natural as it flowed across Shelby’s leg and be high enough that Shelby could wear short shorts and skirts without having the tattoo seen.  At least while standing. Over time, Jade had began to understand Shelby’s style and Shelby was super confident that Jade would help her figure out just what she needed and the end product would be beautiful.

As Shelby entered the shop, she said hello to the two patrons waiting in the front and approached a small desk where Jade happened to be seated and working.  Jade looked up at her just as she got close to the desk. “Hey, pretty lady, I was expecting you.  I am working on a few updates to the sketch you sent me. Let’s head on back.”

Shelby smiled and followed Jade towards her room.  Jade was a beautiful girl with honey colored skin and bright eyes that almost looked purple.  They were a mix of grey and blue and honestly, breathtaking.  Jade was dressed in black jeans, combat boots and had on a green t-shirt.  That was her standard uniform, she would change the color of her t-shirt but that was the extent of it.

Shelby greeted a few of the other artists as she walked back to Jade’s room.  All of the artists personalized one of the small connecting rooms and worked from there.  There were small windows between the rooms that had shades that could be opened or closed as needed.  In this case, Jade waited for Shelby to enter the room and closed her door behind them.  Shelby wore jeggings and pulled out ribbon that she’d been using at home to help demonstrate how thick she wanted the tattoo as well as where it should be placed.

As she expected Jade was able to move it around, make a few sketches and they picked a date for Shelby to come back and have the work done.  It was about a week away.

One week later

Shelby entered the shop and looked at the desk expecting Jade to be seated there; her appointment was the first one that Jade had for the day. Never before had Jade been late.  Shelby had met with her at least two dozen times over the past five years or so and she was never late. This was more than a bit strange. Daxton, one of the artists she’d seen around when she’d been there in the past was seated behind the desk instead.  Shelby noticed that Daxton seemed to be focused on the sketch in front of him, so she approached him slowly and smiled.  “Hello, how are you?  I am Shelby, think that I have seen you around once or twice before.”  She paused for a moment, he started at her feet, she wore sandals since the weather was so nice outside and her toenails were painted a pretty shade of orange.  He then proceeded to move his gaze gently up her legs,up to her A-line dress until his eyes met hers. When he was looking up into her eyes, she continued speaking. She tried to clear her throat and take a deep breath, honestly, she felt as though she had been thoroughly caressed by his eyes.  It was as if he undressed her in those moments, her skin tingled.  “I was wondering if you knew whether or not Jade was coming in?  It’s not like her to be late, we have an appointment this afternoon?”

“Hmm” he grunted and then looked up.  His charcoal eyes seemed to look right through her. Shelby glanced back, turning herself around to look at the clock on the wall behind her.  It confirmed that she did not have the wrong time, Jade was late.

Daxton pushed himself up from the desk.  He towered over Shelby; he was at least a foot taller than Shelby and at least one hundred pounds heavier, however he gently leaned over a bit and said, “Come on, I’ll take you by her place, maybe she overslept.”

“Umm”, Shelby was a bit hesitant but gave a little shrug, “sure, why not.”

“Good” Daxton grabbed his keys and mentioned to another artist that he’d be right back and was just going to check on Jade.

When Daxton got to his car, he opened the passenger side door for Shelby and made small talk as he drove her closer and closer to the marina.

“Wow, this area is really beautiful, I didn’t know that Jade lived around here.”

Yeah”, he said as he nodded his head, “a few of us have places over here.”

“Oh gosh, Daxton, this area is so beautiful. I know that there had been a gentrification project but this is breathtaking.”

“That’s true about the project, they even have a few ships coming out of here now but I have lived here all of my life, in fact I actually remodeled an old warehouse a block or so from here. We used to hang out there when it was just an open space and a lot of broken windows.”

“That’s pretty cool, I have to say.  You are building up the community.”

“Yeah” he smiled a sweet smile. The smile really warmed his face, he looked so young and filled with whimsy.  He wasn’t bad looking at all. Those deep dark eyes stood out against his cinnamon skin. It was even and his long eyelashes skirted the tops of his high cheekbones as he blinked. She’d better stop staring at him.

“Okay we are here.” Daxton informed her as he swung into a parking spot.

Shelby had been so busy looking out of the window that she wasn’t exactly sure where here was but she knew that she was still near the marina, she could see the water and hear the sounds of boats.  Daxton opened her door and began walking towards an apartment building.  The doorman standing in front of the building looked friendly and a little intimidating.  Daxton held her arm and brought her to rest, standing next to the guard, angling his body between Shelby and the guard.  Shelby looked over at Daxton shook her head then took a step forward. “Good morning, I am here to see Jade Livingston, may I call up to her?”  Shelby did not feel comfortable going up to her apartment.  As it was, she had overstepped a bit, they were friendly, probably even friends with their texting frequency, but Shelby could not just show up unannounced.  The guard looked at Daxton and then to Shelby. “I am sorry mam, but Jade is not here, she left about an hour ago.” Shelby was puzzled, looked down at her phone again, she didn’t have any missed calls, responses to the texts that she sent Jade nor was she home. Daxton came closer to her, “Hey, I have an idea.  Let’s just walk around a bit and see if we see her or her car.”

“That’s a great idea, and it gives me a little while to check out this area,” Shelby looked up at him, he was so much taller than she was a 5’3”, she half hugged him and said, “thanks let’s check this place out.” They walked a bit together and Daxton asked, “so what are you having done today?”

“Done? Oh, my tattoo, just a little something.”

“That’s cute, I know that I have seen you in my shop more than a few times, what work have you had done?”

Shelby sighed and looked in his direction, “I have a few tattoos and piercings.”

“Me too, Where?

“Where?”

“Yes, sweetheart, where are your tattoos and piercings?”

“I have one on my ankle, see.” She smiled and looked down at her right ankle.

Daxton chuckled, “yes I did see that one, what else?”

“Really?”

“Yes, really, they must be in some really nice places since you won’t answer my question.

“They are hidden and that is all you need to know, for now.”

“For now?” Daxton dipped his head in her direction, imagining where they had been placed on her body.  He had a rough idea but he needed to know exactly where.

Umm humm, that was all that he was going to get.  Even though she felt the pull on her nipple rings as her nipples began to harden.  They had walked a bit and had not found Jade or her car in its labeled parking spot.

“So, I live just over there, do you want to check out my place?”, Daxton asked her.

Things had been relatively normal but Shelby didn’t know him well and really didn’t feel comfortable going into his house.

“I’m good. We can just head back since we haven’t seen Jade yet.”

“Here’s the thing though,” Daxton lowered his voice and moved even closer to her. “I don’t really want you to leave yet. “

“I’m sorry, what?” Shelby wasn’t sure when Jade planned to arrive, she could be at the shop now or not but Shelby could get some other things done if Jade needed to reschedule.

“It’s like this, Shelby you have been in the shop many times over the past few years and in that time, I have watched how you’ve moved. I’ve waited.

“What?” Shelby scrunched up her face.  She had been in a long-term relationship with Tyrone and hadn’t even given another guy, any guys for that matter, a second look. She barely remembered seeing Daxton in the shop. He made small talk with her from time to time but never flirted or even appeared to be slightly interested in her.

“I have been watching and I like what I see.”

“Umm, okay” she replied with the puzzled look still on her face.

“I’ve decided not to wait any longer, today you are mine.”

“I’m sorry, what?” Shelby hated that she sounded like a parrot and was standing there with her mouth gaping open.

“You heard me sweetheart, today my wait is over.  The building over there is my home, your home.” Shelby looked up at Daxton and laughed, she just busted out laughing and started coughing from laughing so hard. The problem was that Daxton was not laughing. He looked at her with patience that a parent typically reserves for their child as they struggle to figure things out when faced with a challenging problem.  Shelby quickly sobered once she realized that there was no smile, not even a smirk on his face.

“Shelby, it’s like this.  You may not have noticed when you are in the shop, but that’s my place. Just like this is my marina.  There are ten guards watching you as we speak and they will continue watching you. You will have security at all times.  Jade will finish the work that you have commissioned her to do, all other work and piercings, we will discuss.

Shelby blinked her eyes at least five times willing herself to wake up from this ridiculous dream.  As furious as she wanted to be with Daxton and all of his highhandedness she was so incredibly attracted to him in this moment.

“Why would you do this, keep up this elaborate rouse?”

“Because I want you happy – I want us to be happy.  In time, you’ll become accustomed to the way that I do things.”

“In time?” she shook her head, “Look, I am not spending time with you.  I have a man, we are happy – I’m outta here.”

Shelby angled her body to walk around Daxton but he blocked her path.  When he moved he made a signal with his hand and two guards that she had never noticed standing behind a few trees began moving closer to them.

“So, about that.  Sweetheart, I can make this easy or incredibly hard for him.  I want to take care of you, let me. I have been waiting so long to be with you.  It’s our time now.

What should Shelby do?
